half-naked woman pacing
the apartment, tears
streaking just-applied
make-up. you... zoned
out to sportscenter and
half-listening to hysteria.
women are all crazy.
lie back, let her rant and
eventually, anger will
breed lust.
i wonder how many times
you have used your
size to create a border.
i know there are lines
that i cannot cross - i
know that i talk loud
to many. you know
that i would be missed.
we are warring neighbors,
bitter roommates,
better lovers, best friends.
and yet respect
is a word you repeat
like mantra.
you claim your life
is run on its railways,
but you can't see the
forest from the trees,
and you believe
that you are destined
to be king.
you are tyrant,
despised despot
of my domicile.
that you think
abt karma and
ask if your ppl
will rule mine
lets me know that
you know nothing
of consciousness.
the world is your
private binary island
and i've set sail toward
solidarity and truth.
